Business Development Manager, India

Type of Role – Fixed Term Contract with possibility to be permanent

Role Description


We are currently looking for a results driven, energetic Business Development Manager, based in Bangalore to act as the single point of contact in the region for all business development needs including but not limited to sales, marketing, customer success, daily operational management, recruitment, communicating and reporting to global office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, can act in own discretion, able to prioritise, customer focussed, tenacious and ambitious.


Key Tasks


  • Drive active digital and physical marketing of Linguaphile solutions to Parents and Schools with aim to generate leads and close them within target times

  • Active role in Lead generation and support the leadership team in closing leads where applicable

  • Drive quarterly revenue for the business through acquisition of new customers and additional sales to existing customers

  • Be the first point of contact, coordination and escalation for all customer related queries in the region

  • Order, ship and manage all inventories to customers as required

  • Drive recruitment for other staff in the region when required


Background & Experience


  • Experience of Sales and Marketing from a similar job, ideally related to education

  • Knowledge of the local culture, geography, region, education system

  • Extremely customer savvy

  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office


Remuneration and Benefits

Base salary dependent on experience. Sales commission is uncapped. Standard holidays and sick leave as applicable in the local geography
